Rachel Maron writes about trust, power, and the systems that decide who gets protected on Substack at This Woman Votes. I spoke with her about coordinated pressure put on women in the manosphere discourse on gender, in the brutal abortion bans and the criminalization of survivors, and in politics. She describes the brutal architecture set up by the Heritage Foundation and the Federalist Society that undergirds what appear to be separate fights.
She remarks, “What I’ve been tracing is closer to an operating system. The same design shows up in the manosphere, in abortion policy, and in how courts treat women who survive violence. Distress and dependency go in one end, and political and economic fuel comes out the other. Women’s bodies and unpaid labor are the feedstock.”
