Greetings one and all, and happy new (Gregorian) year! I’m starting the year as I ended it, thinking a lot about sport and especially football. My sons both play grassroots football, and they’re both pretty good. I played to an average level at school, but their maternal uncle was a very good player, and his son (their cousin) is currently in the academy of our local professional club. So my boys have their mother to thank for the skills, at least genetically-speaking!
