Every story is individual. Each of us has a story. This story touched me - about a mother and daughter. The daughter tells the story of her mum changing from uninvolved to speaking out - “radicalized” - through Tommy Robinson. And we also hear a little of the daughter changing. Plus there is so much more. Poverty and abuse. And lives changing.
When I think of “us” - those of us on the side of truth, justice, human rights, good thinking, love of humanity - I think of the millions of stories, the millions of people.
I started reading, did not want to stop
It starts: “She felt Britain had abandoned her.”
Below, the mother and daughter, when the mother was still very very young, long before she started speaking out.
