I have to work, but I achieve next to nothing. All I’m thinking of is being tied up while my beloved Miss fucks someone else. I’m close to tears all day and can’t bear to eat.

I put on my pink babydoll dress as instructed, with matching silk underwear. I don’t know why I take so long perfecting my make-up when I’m just going to be ignored. Maybe it’s a last desperate attempt to make Miss choose me over Laura, although I can’t think why she would do that. Laura belongs on a catwalk. Today I feel like I belong in a bin.

I drive to Miss’s house in silence. I’m not in the mood for music. When I pull up, nausea makes me groan. I can’t do this. Will Laura already be there, kissing my Miss? Will they have started already? Am I that inconsequential? I can’t make myself get out of the car. I can’t do this.

The door opens. Miss is pulling me out and into the house. She says nothing, but points at the chair I have to carry upstairs. She takes it from me, places it right next to the bed. The doorbell rings. Miss points to the chair and I sit obediently. I can hear her welcoming Laura in, a pause in their laughter which is maybe a kiss, both of them coming up to the bedroom.

“Oh, this is lovely!” says Laura, and I am relieved that she hasn’t been in here before; they haven’t played without me knowing.

“Your timing is perfect. I was wondering if we wanted her to keep this little dress on or be naked?”

Laura looks at me. “What would you prefer?”

I’m astonished that Laura cares what I want, but grateful too.

“I’d like to keep my dress on, please.”

She turns to my Miss. “Naked then.”
