Clockwise from top left:
1. Pin-tucked skirt from a Vintage Ralph Lauren pattern
2. Tuxedo-style button up blouse. White bib with pink striped fabric.
3. My daughter’s 8 year-old dress! Made from the same pattern my mom used for my older sister back in the 80’s
4. My latest knitted sweater. I found a kit from the 80’s waiting to be knit up… I was worried about the style but I LOVE it and every time I wear it I get tons of compliments.
5.My Chanel style jacket made with headstock Max Mara tweed. Not pictured: a matching skirt
6.Vintage Ralph Lauren blouse! Made with a vintage pattern… adore this. Such a classy, old-fashioned blouse. Perfect for over sweaters too.
7. The hem of my daughter’s dress with fabric roses.
8. A Donna Karan Vogue Pattern for a wrap top. A quick easy make!
9. The sweater in progress
10. a close-up of the lace and trim I used in #6 :)
Here’s the life update: As you know the move across country has been very hard. We’re thinking that maybe the city that we moved to might not be the place for us. I miss Massachusetts very very much. I am still mourning our home. So, we are thinking of moving again [insert sweating face emoji here]. We won’t move out of state, but we are thinking of going to a mountain town. So, the stress is amping up again.
On another personal note….I waited until my youngest was in preschool to do *more* with the clothes I make…whether that was sharing again on Instagram (not interested) or starting a YouTube channel. So, the reason I haven’t posted here is because I have started a YouTube! I have told ZERO people about it because I want the algorithm to find people for me. People that actually want to watch a 20 minute video about sewing! ha! Don’t look for it unless you want to watch 20 minute videos about sewing. But, now with the stress of moving I have made myself sick!! I’m on my 3rd does of Theraflu today.
