Why I'm Jumping on Substack

I’ve spent years sharing glimpses of my life on Instagram. I have always enjoyed it, but have never wanted to rely on it - for anything (more on that another time), so I have also made sure I’ve also spent large chunks of time offline too. I’ve never downloaded tiktok (I think I may not be up to date with the ‘trends’ due to this but I’m ok with it). I love sharing little bits and bobs, but I’ve often craved expanding on topics - more than the occasional story Q&As allow.

Instagram has sometimes felt a little too fast for the kinds of things I really want to talk about.

So this feels like a slower corner of the internet, where I can share a little more in depth with you.

A place for stories from behind the scenes, perspectives on parenting and life, thoughts on building a business and a life at the same time, designing our dream home, recipes and wines I’m loving, travel notes, beautiful things, motherhood, and the in-between moments and musings that rarely make it onto Instagram.

I’m really glad you’re here. And I’m really glad I am too.
