I wanted you to hear this directly from me. A new poll just dropped, and it shows our campaign leading the field in Florida’s 20th Congressional District. In a head-to-head matchup, I lead the incumbent by 2-points. In a multi-candidate field, I lead the incumbent by about 3-points. Let me be very clear about what this actually means.
It means that voters are rallying behind my vision for change. It also means that our movement is growing faster than the political establishment expected.
This campaign has never been about political insiders, politics as usual, or special interests. It’s always been about the people who work day and night to make ends meet in an economy and political system that is rigged against them.
Like them, I know what it’s like to be counted out. I experienced childhood homelessness. I know what it feels like to not know where you’re sleeping at night. I understand what it means to grow up fast because you have to. And I also know what it means to fight, and win, for your future.
That’s why I became an educator. That’s why I became a community advocate. And that’s why I’m running for Congress now, because Washington needs people who have actually lived the consequences of bad policy decisions.
If elected, I would be the youngest member of Congress. But more importantly, I would be a voice for people who feel like nobody in Washington is fighting for them anymore.
I’m running for Congress to create an affordability-focused Democratic House Majority that will:
Lower the cost of living
Protect Social Security and Medicare
Pass Medicare for All
Invest in housing and transit
And fight the MAGA-extremist billionaire agenda trying to take over our government
But here’s the truth most politicians won’t tell you:
Leading in a poll is the moment when big outside money floods in to try to stop you. It’s when the attacks ramp up. It’s when powerful special interests start paying attention. And it’s exactly when grassroots support matters most.
If we want to protect this lead, build on our momentum, and expand it, we have to invest in organizing, digital outreach, field operations, and voter contact right now.
So I’m asking you:
Can you chip in today to help us keep this momentum going?
If everyone reading this email pitched in even a small amount, we would have the resources to compete with anyone, no matter how much billionaire or special interest money they throw at this race.
Please consider making a contribution now.

If you’ve already given, thank you. Truly. You are helping build something bigger than one campaign or one politician, you’re helping build a future where government actually works for working people again.
We are building this together. And we are just getting started.
With gratitude and determination,
Elijah Manley
Democrat for Congress, FL-20
