Nothing to heal

I realized something recently.

All healing — any kind of healing —
is just this:

Being in the present moment.

When we are here,
truly here —

not in the past,
not in the future,
not in the story —

something shifts.

The tension softens.

The anxiety fades.

The need to fix, solve, become…
falls away.

And what’s left is surprisingly simple:

We are okay.

Not because anything changed.

But because we stopped leaving ourselves.

It sounds almost too simple.

And in a way, it is.

But it’s also the hardest thing.

Because everything in our lives
pulls us away from the present moment.

We are taught to think, plan, perform.

To become someone.

To maintain an identity.

And slowly, almost without noticing,
we move further and further away from ourselves.

Until one day,
we don’t even know what “ourselves” feels like anymore.

So we try to heal.

We read.
We process.
We fix.
We analyze.

And sometimes it helps.

But not because of what we’re doing.

Because for a moment —
we are here.

Present.

And in that moment,
there is nothing missing.

No past to resolve.

No future to secure.

No self to improve.

Just this.

Breath.

Awareness.

Being.

And in that, something becomes clear:

We were never broken.

We just left.

And healing
is simply returning.

I saw this clearly while writing about Isaac.

What he does — what any true healer does —
is not “fix” anything. Or anyone.

They hold a space
where it becomes safe enough

to be here.

And when we are here,
fully here —

we are already whole.

When I am in the present moment,
I can breathe.

The weight of “life” lifts.

The to-do list disappears.

The noise quiets.

And there is a simple, quiet knowing:

I am okay.

Not someday.

Not when.

Now.

If this resonates — not as an idea, but as something you can feel —
try it.

Just for a moment.

Pause.

Breathe.

Come back.

You might notice:

nothing was missing.
