For too long, Zionism has been defined by people who oppose it.

A Jewish liberation movement has been recast as colonialism, racism, apartheid and genocide by our enemies. It happened through repetition, inversion and a sustained effort to make Jews hesitate before saying the word Zionism out loud.

Words matter. Definitions matter.

The campaign to turn Zionism into a slur is not an accident. It is an attempt to pressure Jews into surrendering the meaning of our own national movement.

That’s why Einat Wilf and Eitan Chitayat (us) have created a short animated film that’s launching soon for a very specific purpose:

To help people understand Zionism clearly, speak about it confidently and share the truth widely when the word is being twisted, lied about and used against us.

In short, to arm ordinary people with the truth.

Einat has spent years explaining Zionism through books, lectures, essays and public debate with rare clarity, depth and moral courage. Eitan has spent decades shaping truthful stories for some of the world’s biggest organizations, while also putting that experience into Jewish advocacy and the “I’m That Jew” movement.

It was made for Jews. Secular, traditional, modern Orthodox, religious, left, right and everywhere in between. For non-Jewish Zionist allies too, because you don’t have to be Jewish to be a Zionist. You simply have to believe that the Jewish people, like every other people, have the right to self-determination in our ancestral homeland. It’s for everyday people with no skin in the game who are being lied to and for us to set the record straight and take back a word that’s precious to us.
