Happy Thursday! We will keep the small talk short today because we have something exciting to tell you. Stay with us.

On Saturday, June 13, we are hosting ‘Full House - A Hangout With Something To Say’. This event is a curated civic hangout for young Nigerians right here in Lagos.

The name carries two things at once. On the surface, it is an invitation to a packed room. But underneath, it is a civic argument: Nigeria’s democracy needs a full house. Full registers. Full polling units. Full participation.

The gathering will look like this;

• A screening of our short film, One Voice, Many Echoes, which traces three eras of citizen-led civic action in Nigeria and the threads that connect them.

• An open conversation with voices working at the intersection of culture, creativity, and democracy.

• Interactive games, networking, and the kind of energy you only get when the right people are in the right room.

If you have ever felt like civic conversations are too heavy, too formal, or simply not made for you, Full House is where you should be.

On the 11^th of June, next Thursday, EiE Nigeria is bringing the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise directly to the University of Lagos (UNILAG).

That’s right. We are bringing INEC to you.

If you’ve been putting off your registration because it’s stressful, confusing, or simply inconvenient, this is for you.

At the activation centre, you’ll be able to:

• Register for the first time

• Transfer your polling unit

• Update or correct your details

Find us at the Faculty of Social Sciences from 10am - 3pm.

If you are on campus or within the environs, CVR is coming to you. Tell a friend to tell a friend.

This activation in UNILAG is just a proof of concept. We intend to reach one million Nigerians across six Southwest states before 2027. Our goal is far beyond a one-time registration push; we are establishing a lasting civic foundation throughout the region. Executing at this magnitude necessitates significant backing.

This campaign will help;

• Provide the technical and logistical aid necessary for citizens to finalize their voter registration ahead of the cut-off.

• Facilitate specialized civic education to ensure new voters participate with knowledge and conviction.

• Conduct extensive community outreach in places of worship and local markets to ensure registration leads to presence at the polls.

• Cultivate a robust regional corps of volunteers to anchor and drive this democratic effort forward.

• Develop platforms that empower the public to hold their representatives accountable well after the ballots are cast.

Every contribution to this campaign is a direct investment in that reach.
