A First Look at A Pizza to Die For

Hi there,

It is time for another return to Willowby, and I am so excited to finally share a little more about A Pizza to Die For, which arrives on 21 July.

This story has been such fun to write because it explores something that feels very true to small towns. Everyone is friendly, everyone knows everyone, and people generally like things just the way they are. Then something new comes along and suddenly everything becomes a little more interesting.

In this case, it is food.

A new offering arrives in Willowby, bringing plenty of excitement and curiosity. Some people are delighted by the change. Others are a little more cautious. And a few quietly wonder why anyone would want to change something that was perfectly good to begin with.

I think food is such a wonderful starting point for a mystery because it is surprisingly personal. We all have our favourites, our traditions, and our opinions about how things should be done. Whether it is the best coffee in town, the perfect scone, or where to find the best pizza, people can become surprisingly passionate.

That is exactly what I wanted to explore in this story.

As always, what begins as something simple soon becomes much more complicated. A conversation here, a disagreement there, and Tamsin starts to notice that there is a little more going on beneath the surface than anyone is willing to admit.

One of my favourite things about writing Willowby is that the town itself almost feels like a character. It is warm and welcoming, full of familiar faces and comforting routines, but it also has its secrets and tensions. Sometimes all it takes is one small change to bring those hidden feelings out into the open.

And of course, once Tamsin starts asking questions, there is no turning back.

I hope you’ll enjoy this next visit to Willowby. There is mystery, café chaos, plenty of delicious food, and a few surprises along the way.
