“Capital One has never accused the Trump Organization of illegal money laundering. But Friday’s filing argues that “documents and Plaintiffs’ own allegations make clear that Capital One closed Plaintiffs’ accounts for anti-money laundering (AML) reasons. The account closures were the result of months of analysis and careful review by Capital One’s AML team in accordance with bank policies and regulatory guidance. Capital One originally gave notice of its plans to close more than 300 Trump-affiliated bank accounts in March 2021.” (Reuters, “Capitol One says it closed Trump Organization’s accounts after anti-money laundering probe,” August 2026, written by Kenrick Cai).

As expected, Trump responded by signing an executive order prohibiting discriminatory debanking. In January, he sued JPMorgan Chase on the same grounds.

Banks generally do not seek to close accounts; like any business, they advertise and market their services to attract customers. However, Trump continues to attempt to change U.S. financial and banking laws in ways that would allow him to engage in illegal activities. The banks are not discriminating against him but rather following the anti-money laundering laws established to prevent illegal financial activities.

Let’s be clear. Mr. Trump has been convicted in a court of law for fraud. The mountain of evidence included floor to ceiling financial documents that proved he committed this crime. His accountant went to prison, but it was Mr. Trump who managed the business and signed the checks. Money Laundering is fraud.

The United States has no single law called the “Money Laundering Act.” Instead, its anti-money-laundering framework is built on the Bank Secrecy Act of 1970, the Money Laundering Control Act of 1986, and the Anti-Money Laundering Act of 2020. (Wikipedia) Together, these laws prohibit concealing illicit funds, require reports for cash transactions over $10,000, and mandate risk-based compliance programs. The three main stages of money laundering are placement, layering, and integration. (IIbid) These steps explain how illicit funds are processed to appear as legitimate income.

This is a copy of a propaganda poster used by the Russian government under Stalin in the 1930s thru 1950s to instill allegiance to the Russian government. I purchased this poster and several others in Moscow at Ismilovo Market. It says PEACE - Will of the Peoples!

To understand what is unfolding in the United States with Mr. Trump in the White House, read the 1997 Moscow-published book The Foundations of Geopolitics. At roughly 600 pages, it outlines Putin’s ambitions for global dominance, including as they relate to the United States: money laundering, Trump’s alleged corruption and destruction of our government, and Russian Organized Crime (ROC).

Putin ensures Trump is paid, using money as bait to keep him dependent. The cash payments allegedly flow through real estate deals in which Russians buy condos in Trump-branded buildings. Other Russian illegal activities in the United States—such as sports gambling, prostitution, and drug distribution—generate billions of dollars each year, much of it black cash allegedly laundered through Trump’s real estate. By determining how that cash is handled, Putin controls the income reaching Trump.

In Craig Unger’s Substack called “From Both Sides Now,” he said, “Semion Kislin, a Russian, came to Trump’s aid after his massive bankruptcies in Atlantic City in the nineties by issuing mortgages for condos in Trump World Tower, the seventy-two-story luxury high-rise near the United Nations in New York. According to an investigation by Bloomberg Businessweek, one-third of the units on the Tower’s priciest floors had been snatched up by individual buyers or limited liability companies tied to Russia. . . While it may be impossible to calculate the exact amount of money from such transactions, given that the average price of the condos was $1.2 million, the total amount of capital being parked in Trump condos was likely more than $1.5 billion. . . So when people ask what the Russians had on Trump, the answer is quite simple: “THEY OWN HIM.” (Ibid)

On the photo above, the smirk on Putin’s face tells the entire story. The humiliation on Trump’s face shows his shame. Trump then disgraced the American Intelligence community by agreeing with Putin and said, “The Russians did not interfere with the 2016 American election.” The Russians later acknowledged American election interference. Trump’s agreement with Russia demonstrated his alignment with Putin’s interests. It clearly exists.

Trump lowered his head in disbelief. He was caught in a typical Russian “kompromat’ trap. Most likely, Putin showed him photos of Trump having sex with a KGB woman or a young girl at the Beverly Hills nightclub. (See the papers in Putin’s hands.) He could have also enticed Trump with future financial statements and plans for Russian continued financial support. The majority of Trump’s income comes from Russian sources, but once again his tax returns will not reveal these shadowy business ties via an elusive web of LLCs.

“Every week seems to bring yet another revelation about possible relationships between Russia and Donald Trump.” (ProPublica, March 10, 2017). From the end of the Afghanistan war to the attack on Iran, to the bombing of boats in the Caribbean, to the military invasion of US cities that are managed by Democratic politicians or those whose mayors are Black - these actions/decisions were inaugurated in Moscow.

For example, USAID was closed to prevent vital information from 130 countries reaching the CIA, significantly hindering its global operations. USAID reports covered both local project progress and local political and demographic data. Closing USAID was a significant coup d’etat for Russia. The fact that it has also instigated a genocide in Africa with over 103 people dying per hour (estimated 22 million Africans will die directly due to the closure of USAID by 2030 – The Lancet) and sparked massive animosity and hostility toward the United States, is an added benefit for Russia.

Trump’s actions also show clear links to Russian allies: Venezuela, where Trump removed President Maduro because Putin wanted him replaced; the Iran war, which closed the Strait of Hormuz, weakened the petrodollar, elevated the petroyuan (China), and eased sanctions on Russian oil; NATO (32 nations), which is no longer the strong U.S. ally it once was, fulfilling a long-standing goal of Mr. Putin; and the near collapse of the Mutual Defense Treaty and Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA), which allows the United States to station troops in South Korea. North Korea now has ballistic missiles that could reach Los Angeles in 35 minutes, while U.S. troops in South Korea under SOFA could help prevent such a launch within seven seconds. Under Trump’s leadership, the United States also withdrew troops from Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, and Germany weakening U.S. presence in Europe.

It was Trump who flew to Afghanistan, signed an agreement with the Taliban – who was our enemy for 20 years, and agreed to withdraw all US troops. The Taliban promised – in return - peace and that “no one had to fear their leadership.” The democratically elected president fled for his life. One week after US troop withdrawal, a beheaded corpse of a police officer was hanging in a village square in Kabul.

Trump has betrayed the United States, yet many Americans still fail to grasp his relationship to Russia or its impact on their daily lives and our nation’s future. How high must gas prices rise before Americans recognize Trump’s treason? How many more Americans must die due to a lack of health care? How many American children go hungry because Trump reduced SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) - access to free school meals? As with his other crimes, this conduct is becoming increasingly clear to the rest of the world but Americans – especially Trump supporters, are oblivious.

Many people in the United States still deny that Trump’s decisions benefit Russia and its allies, that his executive orders weaken the country’s laws and justice system, that he protects criminals rather than upholding the law, that his actions have led to deaths both abroad and at home, and that keeping him in the White House threatens the survival of American democracy.
