Sneak peek!

Ambitious Impact is still recruiting people for their Charity Entrepreneurship Incubation Program. This is a two-month, cost-covered training program that gives a small cohort of talented people from all over the world everything they need to launch a field-leading charity: training, an intervention idea, co-founder matching, seed funding, and a collaborative community.

In our previous newsletter, we explained why starting a charity is one of the most impactful career paths that you can take. Importantly, you don’t need to have prior experience with working for a charity to start one. That’s what this program is for.

You can apply for these rounds:

  • Climate, Animals, Health, and Development. Ideas include supermarket commitments for plant-based food, scale-up funding for alternative proteins, air pollution data and policy, and coal-fired brick kiln improvements.

  • Impactful Philanthropy. A special edition of the incubation program focusing on opportunities for new charities to make impactful changes within the philanthropic sector. This could include areas like funder education, grantmaking training, advisory services, new funds, or innovative events and networks.

  • Global Health & Well-being. Ideas relate to disability and family planning, details TBA.

Apply before October 5

PS. Ambitious Impact is also hiring for a Recruitment Manager and two Research Managers.

Here are some upcoming events you might be interested in attending:

  • Upcoming effective altruism conferences in New York City (applications close 28 September), Cape Town, Istanbul, Bogotá, Singapore, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Amsterdam, and New Delhi. (Our team will be at the Amsterdam conference; see you there?)

  • We’re hosting an effective environmentalism co-working session on 16 October in Amsterdam. Feel free to join if you’re working for high-impact climate charities, are improving the effectiveness of environmental NGOs, or are otherwise working on high-impact systems change.

  • Hannah Ritchie’s book Clearing the Air is now out in the United Kingdom. It answers 50 common questions about climate using by taking a look at the data, from the author of Not the End of the World.

  • Giving Green has announced its priorities for research and grantmaking for climate change mitigation in 2025.

We’ll include these in every newsletter.
