Well, it depends on who you ask. We got 2 out of the 4 endorsements advanced and had one state question voted down.

The big one, in my opinion, which I think mattered the most was the Governor’s race. It was a really close one as you might have imagined but Mike Mizzei won it. Folks, we’ve got to have a MAGA mindset if our state is going to stay alive. It looks like it will IF Mizzei beats Cyndi Munson this November.

The race for State Superinetendent DID NOT go the way I wanted. We ended up with the candidate who is way too wobbly on a number of things and was a registered Democrat. This is something Governor Mizzei is going to have to deal with in the next legislative term.

On the state questions, the Voter ID bill (SQ 846) did pass. We’re going to have to watch the legislature very carfully on this. A lot of the folks up at N.E. 21st and Lincoln have some rather sleazy tendencies.

The bill concerning property tax ememptions for local governments (SQ 844) did go down to defeat yesterday. This bill would have impacted local governments and public schools systems and the like.

I think the big one though was the governor’s race between Mizzei and Getnet Drummond. Kudos to President Trump for stepping in and taking the side of Mizzei. Drummond would have been a problem for this state given his close ties to the Democrat party.

As to the State Superintendent, we’re going to have to watch very carefully on that one, I’m NOT so sure about Robert Franklin. Whoever wins this race in November needs to undergo a lot of scrutiny.

So now it’s on to November 3rd. This should be a lot of fun……
