One of the great joys of serving as director of content development for EfM is helping shape resources that support mentors and participants. EfM’s creative team updated the design of the 2026 - 2027 path, EfM: Following Jesus, to make the EfM experience more user-friendly and easier to navigate.
In EfM: Following Jesus, you will find updates to the EfM Journal and new questions for use with the Stepping Stones Spiritual Autobiography format. New outlines for Theological Reflection including reflections beginning with dilemmas and current events. Groups start the year by writing a group covenant by engaging in a Theological Reflection using a prompt from the Book of Common Prayer. We’ve added an appendix called Appendix for Theological Reflection that joins the Appendix for Everyone and the Appendix for Year-Specific Resources. All three appendices are found after week 36 in the path. The notes section, filled with ideas for Theological Reflection and tips for weekly sessions, mostly remains the same. You’ll find it by clicking the paper and pencil icon.
Another important update is a combined Respond & Reflect step. Participants and mentors can now access what they need for seminar preparation in one place. EfMers can click on the tabs and accordions to expand to read more.
The way you’ll search for resources has changed. Because of Pathwright constraints, many of the path’s hyperlinks have been removed. Now, participants will search for resources by name. EfMers can scroll to the appendix to find the resource or type the resource name in the search icon to go directly to it.
Our hope is that these updates help mentors and participants spend more time engaging the practices, conversations, and Theological Reflections that make EfM such a rich formation experience.
