Thank you all for following my adventures with SpaceCat.
I’m excited to bring the universe of SpaceCat into a table-top Role Playing Game, and there are still six days for you be a part of the launch on Backerkit.
SPACECAT is a SciFi Adventure roleplaying game, built off the framework and design principles of games like Mausritter, Cairn, and Into the Odd.
The game is designed to allow for quick Character Creation, and clear tools to craft adventures in an open galaxy. Providing player with clear information, choice, and impact as the Referee ( or GM) is given tools and procedures for creating unique adventure situations. Creating Starships. Planets, Star Systems, and Intersteller Sectors of the Galaxy.
Travel and Explore the Vast Expanse of the Galaxy with your friends.
The Game Setup is simple:
Create your Adventurer
Identify the Shared Debt/Mission
Create a Ship
Create a Sector of the Galaxy
Find a Job
Keep Flying
One of you will take on the role of the Referee, or Game Master (GM), describing the world, taking the role of non-player creatures, and making decisions on how to use the rules to respond to the players and keep the game moving forward. Providing useful information, offering choice, and making clear the impact of those choices. Always keep the shared debt of the players in their mind, moving the game forward.
The game takes place in the universe of “The Adventures of SpaceCat” comic series, but SPACECAT is an open galaxy, the game provides tools to fill the galaxy in your own way.
