Substack is where I found my peeps.
Some may call them geeks, maybe even freaks.
But I call them people with great writing techniques.
Many were the quiet ones in little people’s school.
When they were learning, I was trying to be cool.
They see things most don’t see. And care about things like trees and bees.
They like words and words like them.
You’ll often find them playing in a word gym.
The words bounce and fall and land, introducing us to a Kim in search of a Jim.
They tell of history and points to remember,
so that we never forget that one day in September.
They take us on journeys born in their imagination,
leaving us yearning for our very important transformation.
They write and write more.
It’s rarely a chore.
Sometimes they write to excite.
Other times to start a fight.
But usually they write a lot of insights
that take us to new heights.
Often they write to help us unite.
Most of all, they want us to see the light.
But in the end, they write for their own delight.
It’s their art, their expression, their power.
Yes, Substack writers are my peeps.
I love my peeps. I think I’ll keeps my peeps.
