ECCP: Looking for your stories on environmental peacebuilding

Dear Colleagues,

I write today on a beautiful, sunny day in Switzerland. I hope you are doing well, wherever you are in the world. I’ve got a round-up of resources, calls for submission, and meeting announcements, as usual!

If you’re new to the ECCP, welcome. Watch the recording of our February 2026 New Member orientation here. You can follow the ECCP conversation on WhatsApp in our three groups: English, French, or Spanish. In 2025, we also launched an ECCP LinkedIn group, by popular request.

Our next general monthly networking meeting will be held Tuesday 21 April at 14h CET. You can register your interest on this sign-up sheet if you’d like to receive calendar invitations for our monthly meetings.

Our volunteer Strategic Communications team is launching the first-ever ECCP communications campaign with a goal to build awareness and deepen learning on ECCP-related topics by sharing examples, stories, and case studies on related topics. Yes, that means your work could be featured and circulated to the full CoP of more than 1,300 members… and beyond!

We invite any member to propose a story, example, or case study to be featured! You can learn more about the project, and make your submission at this link here: https://forms.gle/otpECoPXQxghoFLq9.

Please submit your proposal by 31 March 2026. The Strategic Communications committee will aim to curate a final selection of 6 spotlights which represent a diversity of topics, languages, and geographies.

The proposal window for the ECCP Community Fund has been open since mid-February, and closes at the end of this month on 31 March. The full timeline & decision making process is published, alongside selection criteria and the proposal form, on our dedicated webpage: ecosystemforpeace.org/eccpfund.

As a reminder, the purpose of the ECCP Community Fund is to provide financial support to specific projects within the Community of Practice initiated by community members. The projects supported by the fund should align with the mission of the ECCP: learning, connecting, and taking action together.

BONUS: The ECCP has been invited to share our story of participatory micrograntmaking with WASAN. Join to learn more and/or share your own ECCP Fund experiences with the WASAN community. We’ll explore this question: Can a small amount of collectively stewarded resources spark meaningful connection and momentum within a global network?

Announced earlier this month, the draft agenda for the Fourth International Conference on Environmental Peacebuilding is now available for review here! The Conference will be held 16-19 June 2026 in Ottawa (with the Virtual Day on 9 June).

As you read above, our colleagues in Nairobi will gather in person in about 10 days. Are you hoping to meet colleagues and friends in person where you live & work? Let me know!
