I started building Pick Your Photos since June last year. I didn’t really focus too much into it at the beginning, it was just a way to pass time and play with newer versions of Ruby on Rails.

I suck at entrepreneurship. At least, that’s how I sometimes feel.
The Evolution of Work
When we interact with people that are close to us, emotionally or physically, we have the potential to have a big impact on people’s lives in ways that we may not even imagine.
I personally consider “debugging” (figuring out how something works and how is it broken) a very important skill as a software developer and one that I don’t think it is taught explicitly. It is simply left for us to figure it out.
I recently switched from MacOS to Linux for my personal/work machine. As much as I like my new laptop I really missed all the battery life that my previous Macbook Pro was capable of.
Although this has only been tested in System76’s Oryx Pro I suppose it can be used in other distributions as well with a bit of work.
I recently decided to move from OSX to Linux and settled on a System76 new Oryx Pro (Jun 2018). They officially support Ubuntu and their own Pop! OS which work really well. I decided to use Archlinux though as it is my distribution of choice.

Después de un largo y no tan buen día. Hoy tuve un día como pocos. Perdí un vuelo a Phoenix donde tenia mi conexión a San Francisco. Se me cayo mi Nexus 4 y se quebró la pantalla inutilizando el touch en 3/4 de ella. Llegue a Phoenix (en auto) 15 minutos mas tarde de lo que necesitaba para alcanzar el ultimo vuelo a San Francisco. Hice una reservación a un hotel a través de Expedia y me equivoque…
