The rain is hammering down on our new conservatory roof. It has been dull all day, a far cry from the sweltering heat over the weekend. The plants and grass in the garden are drinking happily. I need to pick my daughter up from the school bus. Great timing.
The pre-summer slump has hit and I am working hard to plough through it. I know I need a super productive week to get ahead before the summer break. Four days to go…
So, today’s weekly check in has a “lets get ready for summer” vibe to it. Nothing to do with bikini bodies and exercising. More, tackling pesky jobs and channeling the most organised version of ourselves, whatever this looks like for you.
We don’t need to be doing everything, what I mean is: what can you do now that your future self will thank you for?
I’m scheduling this week. Social media posts for clients, newsletters and social media posts for myself.
Time blocking in my diary for the days I am working.
Making my “summer holiday bucket list”. I do this every year and is just a scribbled list in the back of diary of days out/trips I would like to see happen this summer. One thing on my list of kayaking with the family in the Lakes. 🤞this happens.
☀️ This Friday the schools break up, so what have you done to try and get ahead?
Here is a the working mum core toolkit to help get you through summer. Download now and start planning, remembering to leave time for yourself. This is the first year I’m going to be making sure I have at least one self care moment every week. Sounds sad that I haven’t treated myself to this before but there we go…
Do you need to write a thank you card/gift for teachers?
Book holiday clubs (if you haven’t already and if there are spaces left!)
Arrange a babysitter so you can have a date night before the madness begins.
Settle accounts with school.
Remember school discos, leavers plays, end of term fundraisers etc.
Set up OOO for emails when on holiday.
You will find me here sharing days out, and here checking in with work goals/balancing it all. 🌱
Hope your week goes as smoothly as possible.
Love Beth x
