Dunderdagar · Dunderdagar’s Substack

By Grabthar’s hammer, what treachery is this? Calm down, I’m not forsaking Dragonbane RPG for a new mistress of the night. But it doesn’t hurt to venture into new, uncharted waters sometimes. For a while now, I’ve been very interested in following the ShadowDark RPG. I am a big fan of the juggernaut Kelsey Dionne has built over the last couple of years, and the fact that the latest Kickstarter brought in over 3 million dollars only makes it more interesting.

As with Dragonbane, ShadowDark has a license that allows third-party products. This prompted me to create a small adventure to see what the reactions would be. I don’t expect this adventure to bring the house down, but it can’t hurt not to have all my eggs in the Dragonbane basket. Hopefully it will find its audience and bring in some spare change.

Observant fans of Dunderdagar have surely noticed that THE CURSE OF THE DWARVEN TOMB uses artwork from older Dragonbane adventures. This is true, as I want to keep production costs low for a test adventure like this. The text, however, is completely new. The adventure is just a short little dungeon crawl into the world of ShadowDark.

If you are playing ShadowDark RPG or are just curious, you are very welcome to purchase it from DriveThruRPG. It’s only $3, which hopefully won’t bring you to the brink of ruin.

Free League’s latest Dragonbane Kickstarter is coming to an end soon, but there’s still time to become a backer of this stand-alone RPG. DRAGONBANE TRUDVANG is an iconic world of deep forests, unsung heroes, and endless mysteries, with strong roots in Nordic mythology. If you are a fan of Dragonbane, you don’t want to miss this!
