
Recently I was asked, by someone here on Substack, how the therapeutic relationship can be healing when it’s ‘not a real relationship because you have to pay for it’? This person likened it to sex work, which is an analogy I’ve heard before. It’s a great question. It prompted me to think about some of the myths and misconceptions about the therapy relationship.
