Each of us carries many parts within and the ideal state is having a loving witness that can choose how to respond to these parts, instead of act them out.
The Self — the calm, compassionate, curious inner leader who can care for every part.
Exiles — vulnerable, wounded parts carrying fear, shame, grief, loneliness, or unmet needs.
Managers — protective parts that try to prevent pain through control, planning, perfectionism, pleasing, or vigilance.
Firefighters — emergency protectors that react quickly to numb, distract, escape, attack, or extinguish emotional pain.
Aries — The Exile fears helplessness, the Manager stays strong and in charge, the Firefighter fights or acts impulsively, and the Self leads with brave, conscious action.
Taurus — The Exile fears instability and loss, the Manager creates comfort and predictability, the Firefighter clings, shuts down, or overindulges, and the Self offers grounded patience.
