Learn from others, but trust yourself.
Frameworks, “best practices,” … what worked for someone else... now, AI … there is an entire industry built on giving you permission to not trust yourself. To make you cautious or uncertain…
Wild right? Everyone is outsourcing their decisions to the same places, getting the same answers, and doing the same things.
Use technology as a tool, but don’t outsource your decisions, or train away your instincts. They’re your greatest gift, and completely individual.
Listen to what your gut has to say, what feels right to you, and be bold enough to follow it.
What I’ve learned from almost two decades of coaching the best?
The highest performers treat their own judgment as their primary asset, and their own instincts as a primary reference point.
They trust their judgment. They listen to their gut.
They are open to hearing from others, and to the possibility of learning or seeing things differently…but they run that information through their own filter, and the final call is their own.
What is your gut telling you right now about your own work or life at the moment?
People outsource their decisions because it seems easier, faster, offloads responsibility and feels safer, but they are losing touch with their instinct…every time they do it. That’s a human skill you want to hold onto.
This week, notice where you’re waiting for permission you don’t need.
(And stop outsourcing your decisions to other people… or AI)
Deep down, you know what to do.
Your choices, and your direction, should come from you.

Major cheat code for life: realizing you really can just wake up one day and say "that's enough of that" and change direction completely.
