This Forensic Friday, we will see something that is truly only seen in the forensic realm of medicine. I will add that EMTs, police, fire, etc will see such horrors, but this type of injury will never be seen by clinical medicine because death is obvious at the scene. In fact, one thing I’ve noticed is that I will get arguments from surgeons, ER docs, and associated nursing with those fields about certain types of injuries “not ever happening”…but it’s because they never see it. Today is one of those types of trauma, and I do warn you that it is graphic (but as far as forensics goes, maybe only a 3or 4 out of 10 in the Forensic Scale):
