I Started Tending To My Hair Like Our Ancestors Did

I have these visions of myself at 60 years old with my hair down my back and writing. It feels like a vision of the dream life I am moving towards, but sometimes it also feels like I am living the version of that life right now. That vision felt very clear to me and was kinda just working in the background until early August.

I woke up one morning at the beginning of the month with a download that said if I actually want to reach that vision of myself, then I need to follow these instructions now - I need to return to old practices that utilized herbs and rituals to grow floor-length hair, and if I continued to rely on science, then I would never reach my ultimate hair goals.

It sounds specific, and lately the downloads have been; I am blaming it on the Leo south node energy accompanied by the Lions Gate Portal and the Solar Eclipse in Leo - all major events in the sign of Leo, which rules over the heart and our desires. SO, it has actually felt like I am getting this how-to guide when it comes to my desires, and this week’s article is basically that in a nutshell.

So, anyways, back to my download - the Universe said I needed to use herbs on my hair and return to how women took care of their hair in not just ancient, but european Victoria times. Luckily, one of the women I follow, Lacy Phillips, had a similar download, so I did know where to start. But for that last year, I have been healing female pattern balding that was the result of stress-induced aging after 2 years in residency.

I healed that using scientific support, which I wrote about here, and I already had a slew of ancestral practices that I incorporated since my last bout of severe hair loss, which I wrote about here. Basically, if the Universe wants to speak to me, it tends to do so through my hair. So, yadiyah, I healed both bouts of hair loss, but now that I am in the clear, I want it literally down my back… just like my vision, curly and down to my butt. SO, the Universe said return to what you know does that, and unfortunately it is not predominantly modern hair care.

I’m not gonna lie, how I take care of my hair after waking up with that download has shifted sooo much, but in 2 weeks of applying it - I am already noticing major differences in the feel of my hair shaft, my curling pattern, and the hydration of my ends. It is a lot of tender love and care, but honestly it is completely worth it for the vision I have of myself.

For reference, this is my hair now after applying the ancestral and scientific practices I have been doing for 2+ years. It is super thick and probably past my mid-back now, which is the longest it's been since childhood.

I also had another download at some point that basically told me that if I start doing this now, then when I have kids in the next 5 years or so, my hair will be very long and thick and prepared for the postpartum shed, so it isn’t so impactful to my overall hair quality. Again, I know - very specific - but some of these practices have also opened up my intuition in a way because they require me to use particularly supportive herbs on my crown chakra, which, historically, opens up your intuition in the area.

Anyways, below I am going to share the practices I have started incorporating into my weekly hair routine that have been adapted from traditional princess hair care practices to accommodate curlier hair textures, the hair oil recipe I am using, the hair aerosol recipe, and the herbal rinse recipe I am using, along with the herbs I have started to incorporate into my daily tinctures for blood boosting.

PS. LET ME KNOW IF YOU TRY ANYTHING AND HOW THESE PRACTICES WORK FOR YOU
