COVID Era Director Check-In

Directors that had movies premiere or release wide during the pandemic were in between a rock and a hard place. Their efforts had the chance to take root thanks to the streaming era, but without box office opportunities and less productions being made their next efforts have been hard to come by. Thankfully, this year, we have a couple directors releasing their second (or third) features that are opening wide around the same time. Andrew Patterson’s The Rivals of Amziah King, and Jane Schoenbrun’s, Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma. It is time to do a check in on some of Do You Like Apples’ favorite directors that broke out during this time, see what they’re doing now, and see what they might have upcoming in the future.
