Last Saturday I was planning a dinner party and told my wife I needed to go out to get some chicken breasts. When I got to the garage, I noticed the old picture frame on the workbench that I had fixed the day before. I decided to take it back to the storeroom to put it away, and there, in an open box, I stumbled upon an old family photo album.
“Wow,” I thought, “I completely forgot we had this.” I brought it upstairs, sat down in the living room, and started leafing through some wonderful early pictures of the kids. Then, of all things, some recipe cards fell out. They were the ones my daughter and I had made when we used to bake together.
After perusing the album, I took the recipes to the kitchen and put them in our recipe box, planning to share them with her the next time she visited. Just then, my wife popped into the kitchen and said “Boy, you were gone a long time. Were the lines at the grocery store that bad?”
