The Dots That Never Reached Greece

Sofia Passaretti was sitting on a train out of Gothenburg when she saw her bicycle being wheeled along the platform at Malmö station.

Not the bike she had started the Transcontinental Race on. That one had cracked at the seat stay in Norway. Trek had arranged a warranty replacement, but collecting it, building it, and returning to the race would take too long. Sofia called her race, boarded a train south, and began the slow trip home.

She saw somebody steal the new bike through the window. The doors closed before she could get off, but the tracker was still attached.

As the train carried Sofia away from Malmö, the dot began moving in the opposite direction. Police followed it through the city and recovered the bike. Her Transcontinental was over, but the tracker had one last job.
