Schedules have a bad habit of starting on Mondays and wrapping up at the end of the week. Everybody wants to get things done before going into the weekend. The problem is that if you deploy a new change or launch a new feature on Friday (or even worse, Friday afternoon) anything that goes wrong wrecks your weekend. The problem is that if you deploy a new change or launch a new feature on Friday (or even worse, Friday afternoon) anything that goes wrong wrecks your weekend. It's likely there will be fewer people around to help at these times, too.

Try offsetting your schedule so that you can start and end things midweek and give yourself plenty of time to monitor the results of any new changes you introduce into your systems. Have a good weekend!
