Hey Dog Mom Friends,
If you’re reading this, you probably noticed the digital crickets chirping around here since March. If you follow me other places, you likely noticed it there too. I owe you all an update, and honestly, a heartfelt apology for going MIA (missing in action) for so long without a word. I missed you all and this community so much. 😔
This year has been unimaginably heavy. I wish I could say I was just on a long vacation, but the reality is this year hit me with a lot of loss. I lost close family members back-to-back, and then just this past July, a close friend who was truly near and dear to our family passed away as well. 🥺
As you can imagine, processing that kind of grief left me feeling completely down in the dumps and definitely not in a headspace to share the joy and fun that is the Dog Mom POV life. I decided the best thing for me and my family was to simply take a step back from social media, put the phone down, and just focus on the people (and pups!) right in front of me.
But I’m back. And most importantly, I’m ready to share and connect with this amazing community again. Thank you for being so patient while I took the time that I needed.
Now that I’m slowly getting back into the swing of things, allow me to reintroduce myself:
✨I create relatable dog mom content to bring pet parents the joy my furkids bring to me by sharing my moments with them.
✨I’m here to connect with dog moms who truly know that dogs are much more than “just a dog”, they are family
✨We have tons of cute dog videos, dog mom fun, & tips on my blog ComeWagAlong.com & social media (@DogMomPOV everywhere)!
I am committed to being back and posting consistently across Substack, Facebook, Threads, and YouTube for the rest of this year and beyond. (I’m going to try and dust off the TikTok and Instagram accounts, too, but those first four are my main focus!)

While I was away, my two amazing Mini Schnauzers both celebrated huge milestones!
For those who don’t know, my furkids have birthdays back-to-back which is so cool! My sweet senior, Simba, celebrated his 13th birthday on March 21st, and my little puppy (she’s not so little anymore), Zuri, celebrated her 1st birthday on March 22nd!
We went all out! We celebrated with a professional dog photoshoot by my husband (@dadknowshowto) and a little party with dog treats from AJ’s Bakery, and I captured it all live on YouTube for you all to see the behind-the-scenes fun.
Shout out to @ajsdogbakery for getting the dog birthday treats to us quick, fast, and in a hurry! We really appreciate it! Shop with them 🫶🏾

Y’all know how big I am on capturing memories with your furkids! You should definitely capture these kind of memories EVERY year, whether you do a full photoshoot or just snap a few quick photos of your furkid opening their gifts, taking a bite of a cake/treat, or a simple selfie with you. You will always have those photos and videos to look back on, and those are truly priceless.
