So a few weeks ago I decided I wanted to make a website for Lawn: a place to park a book overview and description, some Fun Lawn Facts, an author bio, that kind of thing. I assumed I would need to hire a pro to do this for me and put the task of researching designers on my To Do list. But then one afternoon last week I decided to see what I could cobble together using the Wix editor. And I cobbled, and cobbled, and cobbled—and before I knew it, I had something that looked very much like a website! And I did it all without using any A.I. tools. I struggled with text blocks and sizing sections and box handles and background colors and all of it, but it was absorbing and fun. It felt artisanal!
Anyhoo, it might not be quite as fancy as a website made by a pro (or even ChatGPT), but I am proud of having done it myself, and I am sort of fond of its little lumps and rough edges.
Please check it out, and let me know if you have any suggestions or ideas for improvement!
