Several years ago, Melissa Ford was at a stuck point in her business and life. Steve Chandler (one of my favorite authors) invited her to join his coaching program. She thought about it but didn't think it was a good idea. She wasn't making any money and it was expensive.

She writes...

I put the offer out of my mind until a few weeks later when I received an email from Steve. It was short containing one simple question:

When are you going to stop living like you're never going to die?

I caught my breath.

I read the question again, letting the truth fill me up.

Holy S***! I was living like there was no end to the game called life. I was sitting on the sidelines waiting for something to happen.1

We often look towards a future state and think when this happens then…

I will find meaning.
I will get the life I deserve.
I will be the person I want to be.
Life will go back to normal.

But here’s the truth: waiting is the enemy of the transformation. What brings change is getting in the game. Taking action.

In what ways are you sitting on the sidelines waiting for something to happen? What’s one action you can do today to move forward?
