The move ends August’s time at Netcompany Ineos and is a blow for the British team, which has lost one of the most promising climbers in the WorldTour, with August enjoying a breakthrough season in 2026.
The transfer also shows Pinarello Q36.5’s intent to strengthen its roster, with Mauro Schmid and Sebastian Berwick already announced as part of next year’s squad.
“From my first conversations with Pinarello Q36.5, the professionalism of the team really impressed me. It gave me the strongest feeling that this is the best place to continue my development and become the best rider I can be,” August said in a press release.
