Dmitri Sarle · Dmitri's Door To Freedom

Everyone keeps telling me to “just-do-it”. That my motivation should arise “internally”, and I tried following this advice for decades. It works.

To an extent, and then it fails miserably too. Usually it fails when the “energy” runs out, as this whole “internal motivation” thing tends to use my willpower quite a lot.

This, you can clearly see by the frequency of posts in this newsletter. When I was “trying to force myself” to write, you received exactly zero newsletters in a year. When I stopped, you are now getting one every few weeks. What changed? Well, you have to read below and then click on a play button to find out.

Before we go on, I have to say that, sure, there are other things to help you achieve this internal motivation and to upgrade it: setting goals, exploring your values, figuring out if you are actually doing things you like, and much more - but this post is not about that.

In this post, we explore one often disregarded fact, you do not have to do it alone. You have to do it as if you are “all-one”. Please listen to the whole podcast either directly below:

Or, if you want to support other people who might find it useful, then you can listen to it from Spotify, Apple Podcasts or other services.

Your payment: if you want to thank me (there is no reason really), then you can do so by coming to the Telegram Channel and asking a follow-up question, leaving a comment here, or e-mailing me back. My payment is an opportunity to explore more thoughts and ideas, and when I get questions, I can do it better!
