Djelloul Marbrook’s posthumous poetry collection, The Yellow Suitcase (Pierian Springs Press), is now available in Hardcover and Paperback at Barnes and Noble Booksellers online and at Amazon. Soon it should be available through a network of many thousands of online booksellers globally. The book includes an introduction by Kurt Lovelace. This is the poet at the end of a long journey and at the height of imagination. Thank you Kurt and Larissa! Now I set the yellow suitcase down. Its latches startle bluebirds in their fencepost knots, set marigolds to murmuring. My life’s underthings clamor for the light. Their scents dizzy me. I strew them on a row of burning leaves and look up over the bay. I think I’ll stroll to Fire Island now I feel this whorl of ancient light surrendering its fancy. I might even fly if I can pull myself away from all this honey... From the poem, Fire Island, Djelloul Marbrook. Find The Yellow Suitcase here
