I’m on the train back to Paris from Normandy as I write this, still full from the most exquisite lunch with a dear friend — one I’ll tell you all about in a future Substack.
And watching the countryside go by, it hit me how ordinary this has become. Monday. A first-class train ride. A long lunch in France. There was a version of my life where this wasn’t even imaginable.
Which is exactly what I want to talk to you about — because there’s a special place in my heart for a woman’s relationship with wealth.
I know how many false beliefs I was raised with that, (even after all the work I’ve done on the subject), can still be so deeply ingrained to having me fall prey to thinking I can’t be the BIG woman of impact I desire to be, or live life in the gorgeous way I desire to (yes I have bigger dreams than just living in Paris) or have the freedom to live the way I truly would by design if I had access to greater financial abundance.
Though I’ve come a long way from being a broke struggling psychotherapist living off of $2,000/month and living at home with her parents at the age of 30 to where I am today as the owner of a multi-million dollar company, living fully and authentically, for me (and probably for you) takes more than what is currently being generated.
Fortunately, I’ve gotten off any track of “compare and despair”. Wanting to replicate what seemed to have all the IT GIRLS slaying it online with their effective mega launches and seemingly discovered THE secret to success. I’ve also completed a season of being single focused on funnels/setters/closers/ads etc. It took me 3 years to loosen my grip on “going for it” in that way.
I’m a Capricorn and I like learning new things, I enjoy growing new skill sets and I’m not afraid of the work. I am however obsesses with results AND making money in the most pleasurable way possible. And while I’m grateful for the over 7-figures that continued to come in from my working the funnel route, and deeply honored to get to have and continue to work with the women who found me as a result of those systems, I’m on a new trajectory.
I’m obsessed with God.
I’ve always had a spiritual connection, it’s just that…(and any entrepreneur will get this) growing and evolving your business is a spiritual journey. One that I’m not always exuberant about, until I get the lesson, the wisdom, the gifts and the growth.
So this season of my life is deepening my spiritual journey. Going slower. Surrendering more. Asking for divine guidance more frequently. Deepening my faith. Expanding my trust beyond what the eye can see. Cultivating a life where it’s evident that God did this.
I’ve seen what GINA can do. Honestly? It’s high-level, hard-working mediocre.
The seasons in my life that were God led. God aligned. God designed? Those were the ones that were exceptional, impactful, filled with over-flowing abundance and straight up EPIC.
What “they” never told me about being a woman entrepreneur is the continued awakening that God would require for me to continue to evolve.
Awakening to my next level calling even when I thought I’d found it
Awakening to how I’m meant to serve next even when I thought I was fine with how I was serving
Awakening to new forms of income streams even when I worked so hard to set existing ones up
Awakening to a new rhythm of working that supports my body and nervous system in this season
Awakening to something bigger and more abundant than what I had dreamed up for myself
Full disclosure…
I didn’t come to this awakening willingly.
I AVOIDED.
I RESISTED.
I DOUBTED.
I PANICKED.
I straight up wore myself out.
Then I turned to God at a greater depth than I ever have in my life and I surrendered.
THAT is when my awakening (for this season) began to unfold gloriously.
Peace showed up.
New ideas came into my consciousness.
5-figure days became normal again.
Delighting in how I’m meant to serve next became clear.
My body started to heal.
And when I say miracle after miracle after miracle after miracle blessed me and became double blessings for all those involved occur EVERY single DAY, I mean it.
