Vlad's Playbook — Changelog · Aug 3, 2026

Edition 12.0 — The physical edition. Every prior edition ran the loop on information; this one runs it on matter. Claude Code designed a wall frame for the bird station's 13.3" e-ink panel and its Raspberry Pi 5 — not by driving a CAD program, but by writing one: a 267-line build123d script whose dimensions were read off Pimoroni's official drawing, and which emits every part as STL and STEP, an assembly model with the panel and Pi mocked in place, and section cuts at five heights; the isometric line renders shown on the page are projected from the same geometry. The frame clamps the display through foam instead of screwing into it, hides the panel's own bezel behind a 0.8 mm reveal, splits itself into bed-sized quadrants on request, and keeps the microphone outside where it can hear. Shipped with the honesty intact: the design is committed, and zero grams of plastic exist until the calipers agree.
