Earlier this year, the team at Historic Royal Palaces commissioned People Tree Research to carry out research into how organisations in the cultural and educational sector are using digital formats for school audiences.

As DLNET we were pleased to support this research and we hosted an event in October 2025 in which People Tree Research shared the findings.

You can watch the recording of the event below.

Topics include:

  • Digital learning today – key trends and how organisations are approaching delivery

  • Live lessons vs broadcasts – patterns of use and potential at scale

  • Why great resources go unseen – the role of targeted communication

  • What’s next – barriers, enablers and big questions for the future

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the research. The findings and presentation slides have been shared directly with survey and interview participants - look out for an email from People Tree Research! If you have any questions about the research get in touch with Rosie at rosie.cooper@hrp.org.uk.

Our next DLNET event will be on the 20th November at 1pm. It will be an informal campfire for us to discuss ideas and bounce questions off each other. If you have something to share, no matter how small, please do bring it along. Keep an eye on your inboxes, or our LinkedIn group for how to get involved!
