Level up your tabletop RPG sessions with rumors. Mixing rumors into your campaigns has three powerful effects.

• Rumors make your world feel alive. Rumors hint at a wider world, with events and situations happening independently of the player characters.

• Not every rumor should be true. The real world contains exaggerations, false reports, distortions, and mistaken information. Your game should have those things as well.

• Rumors create player-driven adventures. When players hear rumors and choose to investigate them, they become fully engaged. If the players are leading the charge, they will love every minute of it.

The Odyssey is perfect fodder for RPG campaigns. I haven’t seen the movie yet, but I thought I would share some resources.
