Wood Brothers Racing driver Josh Berry secured a fourth-place run last weekend at Iowa and finished seventh the race before at Indianapolis. He came to Richmond determined to focus on finishes though that doesn’t guarantee a 2027 ride. While his agents from Kevin Harvick Management work on the ride, he has decided to focus fully on the race finishes and he secured another top ten!

Berry, who earlier announced he will not return to the iconic No. 21 Ford next year, is racing for his career these days.

Berry, who is represented by Kevin Harvick’s KHI Management, said on a Ford Performance call that there have been conversations with teams - but nothing yet that has produced a ride for next year. “We’ve had good ones (conversations.)We’ve had bad ones. We’ve had ones that we thought had potential…We had ones that we sat down and they asked for three million dollars,” Berry added.

Berry outlines the performances of late that have him gaining traction.

The 35-year-old Berry has a Cup Series win on his list of racing accomplishments and his solid performances recently have kept Berry’s name in the mix for rides that might come open. So far, though, nothing has materialized. So Berry says he will keep racing for continued solid performance.

Berry, who is a veteran driver, says at this stage there is little he can do to force the process of securing a ride for next year beyond continuing to show solid results in the Cup Series on Sundays.
