Astrophy should be a word.
I love making up words because the listener is jolted out of ordinariness (is that a word?) and it makes them think. And I feel clever - an identity that I adopted early in life to survive.
Last month, everything was fantacular.
This month, we look at the inner journey - the long passage to Inner Space.
When I was five, my grandfather died, my little brother died, and Neil Armstrong walked on the moon with Buzz Aldrin.
I was given no pills, counselling, and, there was certainly no talk of meditation.
Today, I have way too many diagnoses and labels, have medicated my way into a 12-
Step program, and Dharma classes and home shrines are my salve. Yet, the mind is a funny thing.
Despite the medication, meditation, and Rhonda my therapist, I am still looking for the answer to the meaning of life. Most importantly, I want someone to tell me…
”What the fuck do I do next!”
Alain De Botton has a voice that could calm a savage beast - and me.
For some time I have been fascinated by an unconscious choice that we all seem to make throughout our human lives. The subliminal theme of our lives maybe explained by Nature, Nurture, or Nietzsche, but there are forks in the road where changes are made.

Maia Doula has work for us all.
It seems that there is trouble in the world and only YOU can fix it. I wonder what super-powers you have?
Having grown up powerless over Pol Pot’s Killing Fields, and watching young people being shot in Vietnam on our new Rank Arena colour TV, this desperate need for change, aid, and compassion is current, historical, and perennial.
The work starts here, now, and within. It’s such a hard job…
and easy to do.

p.s. Ann, if you’re reading this, Happy Ann-iversary for the 30th year since the fork in the road. Brilliant!
