Hey, it's my new book's birthday today!

Dear Jane-Friends:

Will you take a moment to celebrate with me now? Today's my book's North American birthday—September 2, 2025. The last piece of Wild for Austen's puzzle goes into place tonight at its launch event, with my colleague Tara Ison at the wonderful Changing Hands Phoenix Bookstore at 6:30 p.m.

There are just so many people to thank, dozens who made this book possible, and I'll be expressing a lot of gratitude on social media over the coming days and weeks. For starters, there’s this incredible list of endorsers to thank. I admire these people so much! It means the world that they had generous things to say about Wild for Austen.

Today it just feels right to thank Jane Austen herself, for inspiring so many of us to read, watch, argue, laugh, and love. I’ll leave it at that! Let me know if you see Wild for Austen in the wild, whether on your doorstep or in your favorite shop? I’d love to hear about it!
