Devon is a vibrant community, with many different groups, teams, clubs, and volunteers hosting activities and events each week. Below is a list of reoccurring activities in Leduc, and upcoming, one-time events.

Country Fair at Woodbend Hall: Saturday September 12, 2026, 1 – 4 pm. Join us for an unforgettable day at the annual Woodbend Country Fair.  This will be a ‘free’ family-friendly event packed with excitement!  Enjoy bouncy castles, classic lawn games with Nate the Great magician, face painting for all ages and the County Fire Department.  Hot dogs, pop, popcorn and cotton candy will be available at our concession to round out this fair!  It’s the perfect way to celebrate community and kick off the fall season with smiles!  If you are interested in volunteering or sponsoring this event please get in touch!
Craft Retreat at Woodbend Hall: Monday, September 28; Tuesday, September 29; Wednesday, September 30. 9am to 9 pm (9am to 3:30pm on Wednesday). Welcome knitters, beaders, quilters, painters and all craft people! 3 days of creativity for $50 Registration cost includes tables, chairs, coffee, tea and water.  Potluck dinner on Monday evening.  Proceeds go directly to the Woodbend Hall Playground Revitalization fundraising effort. This is not a teaching situation.  Advice will always be shared. Please contact Paddi Sprecher for more info at 780-910-9549. Open to 12 years old and up.  Under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Devon Arts Market:The Arts Association of Devon (AAD) offers a wide variety of original art and unique handmade items by our local artists and artisans – all Canadian Made.  The Arts Market is held each month on a Sunday from Noon to 4 pm at the centrally located Devon Community Centre – 20 Haven Ave.  Market dates are advertised on our website: www.artsdevon.org.  New vendors are welcome to apply.  For more information call us at 780-652-3304.  Come join us for an inspirational shopping experience.

Devon Riverside Dragsters: The car club meets every Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in front of Next 5 Brewing, all car enthusiasts are welcome.

Machine Embroidery Club: At Woodbend Hall. Join the Machine Embroidery Club at Woodbend Hall for a fun, supportive and hands-on learning experience designed to help you become more confident using your own embroidery machine. This three session coaching program is perfect for embroidery enthusiasts looking to improve their skills. Bring your own machine and enjoy a personalized guidance while connecting with fellow embroidery enthusiasts. Registration fee:  $225 for the three session package. Paint Night:The Arts Association of Devon holds a paint night on the last Monday of each month.  No experience necessary.  All materials and instructions supplied.  Location:  At Taste of China restaurant, Main Street, Devon, AB.  Register through the website: www.artsdevon.org or phone 780-652-3304.  Members $20.  Non-members $30.

Story Time at Woodbend Hall: Tuesdays 10-11 am, September 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, 2026.
Join us with Parkland County Libraries as we read books, sing songs and have fun!  No cost.  No registration required.  Just drop-in for a morning of fun.  Ages 0-5 with caregivers.

Workout at Woodbend Hall: Tuesdays 10-11 am, September 1, 8 (9-10 am), 15, 22, 2026. Bring a yoga mat and indoor shoes. Alcoholics Anonymous: Do you have a problem with alcohol? If so, we can help. We are a group of men and women who have found a solution to our common problem. Divorce /Separation Care   For hope and healing after a divorce or separation, join our group on Tuesday evenings. We watch a video featuring experts in divorce and recovery topics, then the participants spend time as a support group, discussing what was presented in that week’s video seminar and what is going on in the lives of the group members. Free Fall Workshops: The “Hope in the 21st Century” Social Justice Empowerment project is offering two free workshops. 1) “Learning Anti-Racism Toolkit” workshop. 2) “A Just Global Order” workshop. Grief Support Group Online: The Grief Recovery Method Group Program is an evidence-based, 8-week structured program which creates a safe environment in which to look at unhelpful ideas about dealing with loss and provides a guided journey to emotional healing following painful bereavement. Leduc Art Club (LAC): invites you to join our creative group. We share a space with other clubs in the Leduc Arts Foundry. The LAC facilitates the Tuesdays FREE Community drop in, host annual ART Shows/Sales/Exhibitions/Classes for all ages and levels of experience, participate with City of Leduc events, and help promote your art. Leduc Arts Foundry: The Leduc Arts Foundry is an inclusive non-profit arts collective.  We showcase artists’ works in our gallery at the Leduc Recreation Center, 4330 Black Gold Drive and two satellite galleries, in the Leduc Public Library and Civic Centre. In addition we offer classes, workshops, community programs and host seasonal events and markets. We are home to the Leduc Art Club (Artist of the month displays in LRC Gallery), Thad’s M.I.L.L (Musical Instrument Lending Library), and Artful Expressions (Open Mic Night).

Our second location, 44815 – 50th Avenue, has a Pottery Studio offering pottery classes, workshops for all ages and any skill levels. Memberships available.

Leduc Black Gold Toastmasters Club: Build your confidence in public speaking and develop valuable leadership skills in a supportive, welcoming environment. Meeting Times for July & August: Select Tuesdays, 7–8 p.m. online. Meeting times for September to June: Every Tuesday, 7–8:30 p.m. Alberta Leduc Grain Elevator Building. Visitors are always welcome!

Leduc Brain Injury Rebuilding Club: The club meets for lunch at Kosmos on the first Wednesday of every month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, call Karen at 780-986-2665.

The Leduc & District Food Bank: Is always looking for volunteers willing to commit to half a day or one day a week or more. For more information contact 780-986-5333 or email info@ldfb.ca.

Leduc and District Senior Centre:  Programs and activities for seniors. Located at Telford House 4907-46 Street.  Office hours 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Leduc Monday Night Al-Anon: Is someone’s drinking affecting you? The group regularly meets at 8pm every Monday night at St. David’s United Church. If you have a problem with someone’s drinking, you are welcome. For more info please contact Cindy 780-940-4494 or Joe 780-952-6899.

Leduc Quilt Guild: (Black Gold Quilt Patch) meets on the first Tuesday of each month, at 7 p.m. at Telford House, 4907 46 St., Leduc. New members with an interest in quilting are always welcome. For more information contact president@bgqpg.com.

Leduc Public Market: Every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Leduc City Center Mall. Leduc’s only year-round market. Contact Tammy at 780-803-6832 for information on becoming a vendor.

Leduc TOPS Club #1905: Taking Off Pounds Sensibly meets every Tuesday evening at Peace Lutheran Church at 5:30 p.m. We are a support club for those members who would like to lose weight. Our private weigh-ins take place at every meeting from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. We then have roll-call and a program. Our meeting generally ends somewhere between 7:30 and 8 p.m. The cost is $70 (in U.S. funds) to join for the first year, and $48 every year after. For this cost, you get a magazine every two months and prizes awarded to those deserving at the meetings. For more information, phone Marie at 780-986-6477.

The Leduc Wildlife Conservation Society: Preserves wildlife and natural areas through science, conservation action, education, and leading people to value nature. All are invited to join us at our monthly meetings held the first Thursday of the month, 6:30 p.m., at the Leduc Public Library. We are a growing society and are welcoming new members. Lions Club of Leduc: Are you looking for a way to give back to your community, meet new people, and have fun? Join us at the Lions Club of Leduc! We meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at the Lions Campground. Everyone is welcome — men and women alike. The Lions Club supports a wide range of local programs and services, donating over $200,000 each year to the Leduc and surrounding districts. We also manage the Lions Campground and Lions Park.

Nisku/Leduc Rotary Club: The Nisku Leduc Rotary Club meets for breakfast every Thursday morning at the Red Tail Golf Course, at 7:00 a.m. Guests are always welcome to attend!

Special Olympics Leduc: Our programs change lives and bring people together. We welcome you to join as an athlete, coach, volunteer, supporter, and more! Sports offered are: Fall / Winter programs: Bowling, Basketball, Indoor Soccer, Floorball; Spring / Summer programs: Golf, Bocce Ball. For more information, please email soaleduc@gmail.com.

Stronger Together: Is a local mental health peer support group focused on building a community for healing, for Leduc, Beaumont, Edmonton, Devon, and Leduc County. We do not provide therapy but rather empathic support from peers who have experienced similar struggles. If you or someone you know is looking for a helping hand contact us at yegstrongertogether@gmail.com. We host a free weekly peer support meeting every Tuesday @ 7pm via Zoom.

WECAN Food Basket Society: Have you noticed the huge increase in the cost of nutritious food? This non-profit organization may be your answer. Food is paid in cash on the first Friday of the month and picked up on the third Thursday of the month. Two or three kinds of frozen meat (12 servings) cost $20 and three kinds of fruits and three kinds of vegetables cost $15. Food is selected based on availability. Bingo at the Calmar Legion: Every Wednesday from 7-9 p.m.

Calmar and District Senior Citizen’s Club: Monthly general meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month, no meetings are held in July and August. Beaumont

Beaumont Al-Anon: Is a Family Group that has a fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics who share their experience, strength and hope in order to solve their common problems. Meetings are non-professional, free and confidential. Please join us at St. Vital Church south entrance on Monday evenings at 7 p.m. 50 Street and 50 Avenue. Beaumont Weekly Bus Shopping Trips: Using the Beaumont 50+ Club bus (no need to be a club member) every Thursday for anyone living in Beaumont 50 years of age and older. Call Celeste at 780-717-0483 (before 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays) for home pick up times starting about 8:30 a.m., returning about 2:30 p.m. Round trip fare $10. 

Beaumont 50+ Club: Beaumont’s only seniors’ club is open mornings Mon-Fri from 9-11 a.m. for drop-in coffee, cookies and conversation. Daily drop-in fees are $2 for members and $4 for non-members. A variety of activities are offered throughout the week including Bingo, floor curling, chair yoga, Bridge and many more – some available to non-members and under 50’s, as well. The Club is located at 5204A – 50 Ave, Beaumont. Everyone is welcome to come in and see what we’re all about in person or check the website at beaumontseniors.net or Facebook at 50+ClubBeaumontfor up-to-date information and event details.

Beaumont Dream Cruisers: We are a group of auto enthusiasts with a common interest in vehicles of all types. Pending weather (warm and no rain) our weekly Meet & Greet meetings (everyone welcome) are on Mondays 6 to 8 p.m. at the East side of the No Frills Parking Lot, allowing for more parking room. We welcome new members regardless of age or vehicle. Come join us for special events, cruises, parades, car shows and just plain old FUN. Beaumont Heritage Society: We offer school class and homeschool tours ($5/student). Our Activity Room is $40/hour to rent. We have a family history room with 4 computers dedicated to family history research for FREE. Contact Carole at 780-932-8031 if you are interested in any of the above. We are also looking for volunteers and tour guides. Bilingual (French/English) would be a plus.

Beaumont Men’s Shed: Men’s Sheds is a grassroots men’s-health movement grounded in the spirit of camaraderie and powered by the community. We promote spaces for all men to connect, create, and socialize in a positive environment. Beaumont Overeaters Anonymous:  Is food a problem for you?  Overeaters Anonymous can help!  We are a community of people who support each other in order to recover from compulsive eating and food behaviours.  Our meetings are confidential and there are no dues or fees.  Beaumont meetings are held Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m. at St. Vital church, south door on the east side of the parking lot.  More information on OA and other meetings is available at www.oa.org.

Beaumont Toastmasters: A club that works on public speaking skills for personal and professional growth. We meet every Monday at 7:30 p.m., at the Beaumont Professional Centre, 2nd Floor 5302 50 St.

Community BINGO in Beaumont: Regular bingo is held every Wednesday night from 7:30 to about 10 p.m., 5204A 50 Ave (Beaumont 50+ Club). Doors open at 6 p.m. Players 10+ are welcome, but ages 10-17 only allowed to play regular games. Note: no children under 10 allowed in hall during bingo.

Seniors Casino Bus trip from Beaumont: Monthly (3rd Wednesday) trip to River Cree Casino from Place Beausejour 5020 52 Ave., door “B”. 22-passenger bus leaves at 9:20 a.m., home about 3 pm. $10 round trip. Call Sandra at 780-984-0854 to reserve your seat. 

Seniors Lunch:The Beaumont 50+ Club drop-in $10 lunch for all local seniors held every Tuesday at Noon, 5204A 50 Ave.
