I’m writing this mid heat wave, three iced coffees in, cooling eye-patches on (highly recommend btw). And like every year, I’m torn between loving this time of year and wanting to blast the AC in my face at all times.
I opted for the latter, because 102 degrees Fahrenheit. Can we all agree that this is just too much? Anyways, what does one do when stuck inside on a hot summer’s day? Going down a rabbit hole of curating pretty finds and daydreaming about what summer would look like if it were a room, of course. Here’s what I picture:

Blue is everywhere and in all shades of it — pool turquoise, sky-washed pale, midnight sea. Fringe is swinging off a lampshade as you walk past it. There’s linen in forms of pillows or even a couch, always slightly wrinkled (who irons, anyways?).
Then night falls and it all shifts a little. The light comes from glass sconces straight out of Murano, warm and a little glowy. And somewhere in the mix, always, is yellow — lemon, butter, mustard, I’ll take it all.

Last weekend I took a trip to the Upper East Side to see Céleste Boursier-Mougenot’s «Clinamen» at the Park Ave Armory. Granted, it’s not the Bourse de Commerce, but still very much worth the trip. The sound of hundreds of bowls clinging as they lightly bump into each other in pools of water is so relaxing – who knew?
