The FDA just approved two peptides. New voting members all sell them.

The FDA just green-lit the production of two popular peptides by specialized pharmacies even though there’s not a lot of clinical evidence to support their efficacy.

In fact, FDA scientists warned against doing so. As NPR reports:

An analysis presented by FDA scientists didn't support easing restrictions on BPC-157, often used for ulcerative colitis, or KPV, a peptide used for inflammation.

Fewer than 10 human clinical trials on BPC-157 exist. None tracking use beyond 12 weeks. Existing human data is “scant and of low quality,” meaning small, unblinded trials often run by clinics with a financial stake in outcomes.

No large-scale human trials, formal toxicity studies, or published human safety data exist for KPV. Available research suggests a favorable safety profile, but that hasn't been established in clinical trials, and unknowns remain around drug interactions.

After flagging that he was “looking into” removing peptides from the banned list list on Joe Rogan’s podcast, RFK Jr’s FDA appointed eight new voting members to the Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee on June 29, with today’s vote in sight.

And that committee voted in favor of compounded peptides by a margin of 8-6.

Could there possibly be any conflicts of interest?

• Dr. Gabriel Alizaidy charges $500 for “peptide and hormone” consultations and promotes BPC-157 and GHK-Cu to hundreds of thousands of social media followers.

• Dr. Haleem Mohammed runs a national chain of clinics that sell peptide, vitamin, testosterone and weight-loss injections.

• Sen. Bobby Harshbarger, PharmD sells compounded peptides for weight loss and longevity. His mother, U.S. Rep. Diana Harshbarger, sent HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. a letter urging looser peptide restrictions in 2025.

• Dr. Asare B. Christian offers peptide therapy as part of his longevity and pain-management practice.

• Dr. Melissa Loseke was the first physician in Nebraska certified in peptide therapy through A4M; her clinic markets peptide protocols.

• Dr. Joshua Starbuck’s concierge longevity practice offers peptide therapy as a core service.

• Dr. Kris Wusterhausen is certified in peptide therapy and trains other providers on peptide protocols.

• David Pope, PharmD has expressed concern over gray market peptides, saying “I would agree with the idea that we need to keep this in America.”

Once again, Kennedy’s promise of making Washington DC less corrupt has proven to do the opposite.

He just now gets to reward the people he wants to elevate.
