Tokenized equities are the rage nowadays and sound simple on paper by just bringing assets on-chain by wrapping them and letting the markets trade them. And while that is possible, the current landscape looks a bit more complicated than that.
Stocks have deep off-chain markets where the fair value is set elsewhere, and when these assets are brought on-chain, that liquidity that lives on-chain needs to reference the price set on these markets, manage inventory correctly, and make sure that the oracle updates are correct; otherwise, the right arbitrage bots will feast on the LPs.
