We’re only in month two of the riso-zine project and I’ve already released my favorite one! The Zero Waste Quilt block is a pattern I developed about two years ago when aiming to create a more sustainable version of the drunkards path quilt.

I absolutely love the aesthetics of the original block for this type of quilt but it’s quite wasteful, so I developed my own version. The fabric I used for my first iteration is a mix of old bed sheets(and the fabric bags they come in), shirts that I no longer wear, sample fabric from my graduate collection, and so on.

It’s been in it’s home on my bed for almost a year now and I’m fully obsessed.

I have gotten lots of requests for a tutorial on this block, thus turning it into the February issue of the ZW Micro-zine and subsequent instructions here!

The mini Riso-zine I developed for this project is available for $12 here: RISO-ZINE 02

Now onto the good stuff!

If you have purchased the Riso-zine already, reach out and I will give you free access to the step by step content below.
