Lately, I’ve been moving through life with barely a pause button. My days start early and end late, shooting, location scouting, editing, translating, managing clients and models, and somehow still being the calm in the middle of the production storm.
And oh, I’m also moving apartments! Yay!
Right now, I’m living in between cardboard boxes, with a to-do list that grows faster than my healing process. Gas, water, electricity to set up. Packing, unpacking, deep-cleaning. Trying to find that one cable I swear I just saw five minutes ago. And when I’m not doing all that? I’m editing videos and photos and still somehow replying to emails like a functioning adult. I walk at least twenty thousand steps a day, physically and metaphorically, trying to build a life that feels like mine amidst the busyness.
But hey, I’m grateful. Really. I’m thankful to my clients for believing in my work. Your trust is the reason I get to do what I love. And to the version of me that keeps showing up, even when she’s running on coffee and chaos, I see you.
And yet, despite the exhaustion, there’s a quiet sense of fulfillment. I know this is the life I’ve chosen: a little messy, often magical, deeply human.
Also… if only a massage didn’t cost 6000 yen per hour. And if hugs weren’t as rare as free parking in Tokyo. But okay, we move.
On the bright side, my friends from Indonesia are coming soon at the end of the month, and that honestly makes everything feel a little more worth it. Like home is coming to visit me in the middle of the madness.
So yeah, I’m tired. I’m dreaming about work. My knees are filing a formal complaint. Lol. But my heart? Still weirdly full. And even when it’s overwhelming, I carry it all with fire and softness.
