Don’t ‘Move On’…The SPLC Indictment and Arrest Speak Volumes about Leftist Subversion of America

America, Can We Talk?, Eric Georgatos · America, Can We Talk?

The Bill Clinton administration ushered ‘move on’ into the political lexicon: an all-purpose non-answer to recurring questions that Clinton would rather not answer (including stories swept from media attention almost instantly such as the mysterious FBI files and the Monica episode). So…’move on’ from events and news even though wrongdoers never came clean and never faced accountability, and change the subject to something more favorable.

The Democrat Party—from left to far left—would like America to move on from discussion of what the recent indictment of the Southern Poverty Law Center (“SPLC”) and the arrest of its former CFO reveal about the dishonest, subversive, anti-American agenda of that organization.

Don’t move on.

Take the time to fully absorb the SPLC’s lies deliberately concocted and foisted on the American people to influence them to hate their country and their elected President. Understand the damage they did to this country. Understand that their destructive narratives were all based on conscious fabrication, premeditated dishonesty, a/k/a lies.

For example, according to the SPLC during President Trump’s first term, America was a racist country led by a white-supremacist-admiring President...and Americans needed to rise up and resist this evil. Propaganda media in this country unabashedly amplified this lie throughout that term, because of the high stature it universally assigned to the stated purposes of the SPLC – to fight racism. On what did media and the SPLC base their accusations of racism?

Well, there was a boisterous ‘Unite the Right’ rally crowd in 2017 in Charlottesville, Virginia, in which a main point of contention was the appropriateness of taking down a statue commemorating a Confederate leader in the Civil War. An element of the crowd included despicable neo-Nazis and white supremacists, though it is unknown how many of those were “present because paid.”

President Trump later made a speech specifically condemning the neo-Nazi, white supremacist component of the crowd, while acknowledging that there were ‘very fine people’ on both sides of the statue-removal debate. (No less than Snopes, a left-wing fact-checker, later confirmed the distinctions made by Trump in his remarks about the crowd.)

A leftist lie soon arose after Trump’s remarks, in which he was falsely accused of calling the racist element of the crowd ‘very fine people’.

Later still, Joe Biden launched his 2020 campaign for the presidency based specifically on a repeat of this lie. Biden claimed to be lamenting and despairing over the fact lie that a President of the United States would refer to white supremacists as ‘very fine people’. Really. A bold-faced lie delivered right in the faces of the American people, brought to him courtesy of the SPLC. And how do we know this?

_______________

Fast forward to 2026 and the SPLC/CFO indictments.

The DOJ’s indictment of the SPLC indicates: the SPLC funded the racists in Charlottesville. Put another way, the SPLC curried public favor by attacking racists in Charlottesville while at the same time they were funding those very same racists.

The DOJ’s indictment of the former SPLC CFO adds this: not only was the SPLC funding the racists, the CFO was having an affair with a leader of the racists.

Donors to the SPLC who may have thought they were fighting racism in America now know their funds were used to manufacture the appearance of racism in America, and at least one senior leader of the SPLC apparently did not abhor racism all that much—i.e., she was romantically involved with an actual racist.

The telling of this tale makes all American patriots angry, and it should. But it should never be allowed to be diluted or swept aside by an appeal to ‘move on’. The damage done by these deliberate, despicable lies cannot be overstated, and arguably exists even to this day among ignorant and under-informed Americans. The simple truth:

  • President Trump never said those Charlottesville racists were very fine people.

  • America has unsavory elements among its 340 million people, but the SPLC inflicted grievous harm on American society, to the benefit of the anti-American Left, by cultivating lies about the existence and scope of racism. America is filled with individuals of all backgrounds who deplore racism, and our country’s history is one of consistently striving to improve race relations and racial equality. Sowing unjustified seeds of suspicion about racism especially among the least informed is an ugly attack on America and a permanent stain on the SPLC.

  • Joe Biden launched his presidential campaign on and secured support from an abject lie apparently created by and definitely paid for by the SPLC. And evidence was available before Biden announced that President Trump had never called racists “very fine people,” evidence Biden knew or should have known.

The Charlottesville episode captures the SPLC in action; more broadly, it captures the Anti-American Left in action. They have no positive or constructive ideas; they just hate the Constitution and the predominantly conservative, Christian orientation of the nation. And so they make up lies to mock, disparage and discredit what they hate…in the hopes that they can take down America and put an end to America’s enduring greatness.

Don’t move on.

Instead, stay alert and always ask: what lies are the SPLC and similar leftist organizations pitching today? When you hear the character of America attacked, or hear accusations of widespread evil among the American people, ask yourself, “who said so” and “on what basis?” Remember the scope of evil represented by the SPLC in cultivating hatred and division on false premises, and paying racists to create a divided America. Don’t let them “move on” from their vile conduct without accountability. And vote in November 2026 to make sure they and those they support are kept out of power in this country.
